But this picture is just flipping funny.
No, don’t hurt the puppy!

I knew I hated Circuit City for a good reason!

Way too much time and thought was put into this ghetto trunk repair. Check out how they carefully clothespinned the plastic so the lights and the keyhole are exposed.
The clothespins look like stitches: “It’s ALIVE!”
I love Save-a-Lot. They have super cheap groceries, friendly cashiers (tonight ours was reading the Bible in between customers!) and fantastic fresh apple sausage. They also stick bright orange coupons on stuff that is nearing expiration. I always look at produce and meat when I go in there. This is what I got tonight as we were popping in for lettuce and oatmeal.

Six 1 pound bags of cole slaw mix regularly $1.19. With coupon only 19¢ a bag! My total should have been $7.14. I paid $1.14. That’s like buying one bag and getting 5 free!
I put these in the freezer as I knew I wouldn’t be able to make and eat 6 pounds of cole slaw before it went bad. What am I going to do with all that cabbage? This will make an excellent vegetable soup starter, it will be great sauteed with onions, or an easy shortcut to make Stuffed Cabbage Casserole.
You can’t beat super cheap and healthy, too!
I’ve been kind of remiss about coupons lately. I grab them from the stack at work, take them home and put them in the growing pile on the kitchen table. I just had to throw away a bunch of expired ones. That’s like that throwing away money! Well, I used a couple this week and got some great deals.

The Glade reed diffuser was origially $8.27. It was on sale for $4.50. I got 45¢ off with my employee discount. I used a $3.00 coupon. Ta-da – $1.05!
The two yogurts were 58¢ each. I used a $1.00 off two coupon and nabbed them for 8¢ each!
My total should have been $9.43. I paid $1.21!

I had to go to Big Box Mart’s competitor because we stopped carrying a lot of items.
Taco Bell dinner kit: Was $2.79 on sale for $2.37 minus $1.00 coupon = $1.37
Healthy Ones lunch meat: Was $2.89 on sale for $2.69 each minus two 55¢ coupons = $2.14 each
Bumble Bee tuna steak: $2.49 minus $1.00 coupon = $1.49
Bumble Bee tuna pouch: $1.49 minus 55¢ coupon = 94¢
Bumble Bee flavored tuna tin: $1.99 minus $1.00 coupon = 99¢ (And I got a catalina for $1.00 off two more at checkout.)
My total should have been $14.54. I paid $9.07, a savings of $5.47!
I love sweet coupon deals!

“Oh, my god! In Kentucky they have scenery and actual topography!”

Our first glimpse of mountains. Or are these still hills? Whatever they’re a hell of a lot higher than anything in Indiana.

I’m pretty sure that’s a mountain.

You know you’re in the south when someone is haulin’ their log cabin down the highway. Or is that a dee-lux outhouse?
