Part of my bento problem is that I don’t like my food to touch. So everything goes in a separate container. Another problem is that I make my lunches out of leftovers that otherwise wouldn’t be eaten. Today, my lunch is all new!

Top and garnish: radish wedges
Right: a Monterey jack panini
Left: chicken flavored pasta (Super easy recipe alert: Boil and drain some tiny pasta – like alphas, orzo, shells. Saute finely chopped celery, onion and carrot in butter until tender. Toss in the pasta, a couple sloshes of milk, some chicken bouillon, pepper, parsley, etc. Much better than “Noodles ‘n’Sauce”)
Top right: two wrapped honey sesame candies
This whole meal is full of comfort foods. Grilled cheese, chicken pasta (Pac-Man Chicken Pasta R.I.P), radishes (yeah, I was a weird kid) and sesame candy. I’ve finally packed a bento I’m proud of. And, look, my food is touching.
