Wildcrafting is the practice of finding edible or medicinal plants, herbs, fruits, berries, and vegetables. In my urban/suburban sprawl area, it’s a frickin’ miracle I find anything at all. I’ve got my eye on my wild mint patch from last year. (Candace: Do you want some for tea or jelly? It freezes and dries wonderfully, as well.)

Michael found some wild onion a month ago and we went back to harvest on Sunday. I put some on homemade pizza and I have the rest in the fridge for a stir fry.

If I can find enough, I might try a wild onion marmalade.
