Tonight we celebrated Michael’s 32nd birthday with the whole family at Wings, Etc. I had the rib tips and jumbo shrimp platter which came with curly fries and cole slaw. Michael had a pulled pork sandwich (which he said was awful), ten wings in a spicy asian sauce (Me-So-Spicy) and fries.
After that gut busting food-o-rama, I knew I needed to pack a light lunch.
Left: half of a cup of Weight Watchers raspberry yogurt (Three cups for 95¢ with coupon). Right: cole slaw left over from big dinner. Wrapped around cole slaw: celery sticks from Michael’s wing basket (“What a waste! Eating these would take away valuable wing consuming space!”) In the middle and bottom: orange wedge, red grapes, carrot sticks, broccoli florets, co-jack cubes. Little pink container: ranch dressing (Also from Michael’s wing basket. He thinks good wings don’t need a dip. But he knew to ask for it anyway so I could take it home with me. Good hubby!)
I love bento more and more. I’m eating well, eating light and getting absolutely stuffed on very few calories. Maybe I can work off the winter 10 that’s crept up on me.
