I have my 13 digit library card number memorized.
I own six pairs of plain white socks. All my other socks have colors and patterns. I probably own 100 pairs of socks. My socks always match my outfit.
I still collect stuffed animals and name them. All my stuffed animals except one are male. I don’t know why, they just are.
I love Michael Jackson. It’s because I’m a child of the 80s, I guess. My favorite song is “Smooth Criminal”. And, yes, I like the Alien Ant Farm remake from a couple of years ago.
You don’t want to play trivia games with me because I will always win. If I do happen to lose, I am a poor loser and may pout or throw the game board.
I love sushi but just learned how to make it last night. I suck. I’ll keep practicing.
I sing to my dog and cat. My cat Kamilah’s favorite song is “You’re My Best Friend” by Queen. It’s a song about Freddy Mercury’s cat. Go figure. Bijou’s favorite song is “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown”, except I sing “Bad, Bad Bijou Grace”. Also anything by Stevie Nicks.
The theme music from “Unsolved Mysteries” scares the bejezus out of me.
My dream job is to be a book reviewer or book proof reader. I want to get paid to read.

So why are you working at Big Box Mart?

Sorry, Aubrey, I almost deleted your comment. I get so much spam that I forget that “real” people read my site. I got a job at Big Box Mart because I needed money. My husband and I opened our own store Feb. 27, 2007. Now my income is what we live on. All store income gets dumped back into the store for more inventory, bags, supplies, etc. In this unstable economy I am afraid to try to find another job. I don’t think I could get a job making my current salary. Also, I would be the newbie and most expendable if layoffs or downsizing occurred. As far as finding my dream job, it helps to work in a big city where a publisher has a brick and mortar location. I do currently read and review advance copies of books for Harper Collins and Random House, albeit gratis. Hopefully they will be so impressed by my thoughtful and witty reviews (and my accurate proofreading) that it will parlay into a paid job. Until then, you’ll find me on the GM SCO. I also edited your comment so as to not get my a** fired.
