$14 to spend at Goodwill Posted by samaree

I know I said I wasn’t going to shop there anymore, but they are right next to Comic Doses. I sit there all day Sunday thinking, “Don’t go to Goodwill, don’t go to Goodwill.” I can’t help it. It’s a sickness.

I bought a couple shirts for Christmas gifts (75% off, two at $1 each and one at $1.25), some supplies for making a teacup candle holder ($0.25 each for a china mug and saucer), a secret gift for DH Michael ($1.50 new), a pair of Old Navy jeans for me ($5.00, but I was down to one pair), a steel silverware caddy ($0.75), a sweet metric measuring cup (I had one before and lost it, $0.50) and a Elton John concert t-shirt to sell ($2.00).

The candle holder is super easy. Glue the cup to the saucer using a heavy duty glue. Remove metal disc on bottom and pull wicks out of a couple votive candles. Melt candles in microwave. Pour melted wax into cup and carefully place the wicks in the wax. Let wax cool. Ta-da!
