I took some clothes to Plato’s Closet with the intent to make some money. Okay, so I made some money, but I didn’t really come out ahead. They are really picky about the clothes they take. Think consignment store that only takes clothes that a sixteen year old buys and then never wears. Okay, whew, so I’m almost thirty. But I don’t look like it. Really. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Anywho, they bought some of my stuff. Some Wal-Mart shoes, some shoes I bought at Goodwill to flip (i.e. sell or trade for profit). I made $12.14 in trade. I bought $12.72. I knew I shouldn’t have looked around. I bought two things for the new “dress code” at Big Box Mart. A navy shirt and khaki capris which I wouldn’t normally wear, but if I have to, I’m going to be as cute as possible. The shirt was from Forever 21 and had a new tag of $19.50. I just feel so good that I can shop in a teen-oriented store. I’m now only one size away from my goal…..

Honey Nut Cheerios 15 ounce box were on sale for $1.66 a box, regularly $2.78. I had a coupon for $1.00 off two. So I got two boxes at the price of $1.16 each. Cheaper than Aldi O’s.

Michael likes Right Guard Gel Deoderant. It’s on sale for $2.74 at Big Box Mart. with my discount and a $0.75 coupon $1.72. Not as good as my $0.39 deoderant, but still cheap.

I haven’t been able to go to Goodwill for awhile. I wasted two coupons in April. I just wanted to save some money in the bank for a change. When I went in March, I got a pair of Gloria Vandebilt jeans for $2.50 with my coupon. They were my size and petite length, to boot. Yah. I saw them in the Kohl’s ad last week for $24.99. Ahh, the glorious feeling of buying at ten percent of retail. I got a coffee pot for the comic shop (www.comicdoses.com), too. It’s a Proctor Silex, was new in the box, $3.00 with coupon. I also found a Disney Timon and Pumba bank. It has no sticker so the cashier gave it to me for a dollar. Michael had previously collected them and sold them. He said they were $15 new and was very happy I found it. It was on a random shelf in housewares, whereas most Disney stuff is stuck in toys. It always pays to take the time to look through everything.
