1/3 of a 20 oz bag Tyson precooked seasoned steak strips
1 cup sliced onions
1 4.5 oz jar of sliced mushrooms, drained
1 1/2 cups of water
1 packet of gravy (usually around 1 oz mix, makes one cup gravy, as prepared on package)
2 T. old fashioned pepper gravy mix
1 t. butter (or margarine), Spike, fresh ground pepper, salt
Saute onions in butter until translucent and slightly browned, about 5 minutes, over medium high heat in a deep skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Add mushrooms and saute a few mintutes more. Add steak strips and cook for three more minutes. In a small bowl, whisk water and gravy mixes until there are no more lumps. Pour gravy mix into the skillet and cook, stirring often, until gravy has thickened, about two minutes. Season with Spike and pepper.
Serves: 4 over rice, noodles or mashed potatoes.
Tip: A spinach salad makes a nice side for this meal. Or fresh snapped green beans with butter and garlic.
