- I don’t shake hands, hug anyone except family or share drinks, but I will kiss a dog or cat I’ve just met right on the nose.
- I go to Goodwill and will only buy items that are on sale for $1 or 75% off tag price. I will, however, go to Starbucks and plop down $4 for a caramel latte without hesitation.
- I cry alot. I cry over movies, commercials, books, photos, etc. I cry when I read touching stories of handicapped pets. I cry when my husband cries, because his pain breaks my heart. UPDATE: I cried yesterday when I received my 1 year evaluaton at my job. Both the managers were confused and upset until I told them they were happy tears.
- Soup is my favorite food and I could, and usually do, eat it every day. My faves are ramen (chicken and beef only), cream of chicken with white rice (add lemon juice and it’s Greek avgolemono), cream of broccoli or broccoli and cheese, and vegetarian vegetable.
- I don’t know how to ride a bicycle or ice skate, but I can roller skate. Not in-line skates, but old school roller derby skates.
- My favorite color is pink. My undies are usually pink, my bras are pink, alot of my clothes are pink and, right now, even my hair is pink and black. My least favorite color is green.
- I read over 100 books each year. Not romance novels or serial mysteries. I read alot of British and American chick fiction. I also like history, forensics, memoirs, cookbooks, business/econonomics, animal memoirs, Middle Eastern studies, feminist history, WWII history, some sci fi, and teen novels. I read nearly every single day and never go more than two days without reading.
- I love animals of all kinds, but I admit I like cats a little bit more than dogs, just because cats are low maintenance. (www.cuteoverload.com)
- I have two tattoos. A black cat above my right ankle and a kind of stylized eye of Isis on my left shoulder. I drew both of them. My eye tattoo was my final project for an college art class and is called “Eye of Dystopia”. Under the cat is Arabic text that reads “big male cat”. Now it is a memorial piece for the two black cats I had at the time I got the tattoo, Sebastian Bach and Louis Julius. I want at least one more tattoo, maybe two.
- I collect camels, cats, dogs, patio ware, vintage kitchen gadgets and utensils, rings, purses, shoes, coats, Hello Kitty, and lots of other random stuff.
- I’m afraid of birds, but I love mice and rats.
- Lastly, I can sew, crochet, cross stitch, paint, cook and bake, but I can’t drive.
