I love when brands change their packages and stores clearance them out to make way for the new items. Last week at Big Box Mart I bought an 8 lb. package of ground beef patties. Regular price was $11.63 or $1.45 per pound. I bought it for $5.00. That’s $0.63 cents per pound. I can make so many meals with 32 1/4 pound burger patties it’s obscene. I also bought paskages of pepperoni for 50 cents. They had Old Milwakee Snacker Stackers (thick sliced) and Hormel (thin sliced) 8 ounce packages. I bought 4 of each and threw them in the freezer. Michael can snack on them, I can make pita pizzas, stromboli, pizza nachos, etc. Big Box Mart sometimes has sales on stuff they have too much of. I bought Tyson precooked chicken and steak strips for $2 each 20 ounce instead of $4.88 a bag. I also bought a chicken enchilada kit on sale. It contained 15 oz cilantro lime chicken, 8 oz queso sauce, 8 oz Poco sauce, 24 oz Spanish rice and 8 6-inch tortillas. It was $3 instead of $8.88. When Michael and I have a house I want a big freezer so we can stock up on all kinds of stuff and keep it on hand. Right now our little freezer is so full, I have to tape it to keep it closed.
